Neon India é um duo originário de Austin-Texas e Brooklyn-Nova York. O duo é composto por Alan Palomo, também conhecido por seu trabalho com a banda Ghosthustler. O outro lado do duo é formado por Alicia Scardetta, que além de criar atmosferas visuais para a banda, também toca e compõe muito bem!
A banda começou a chamar atenção em 2009 após colocarem diversas música na internet, que foram divulgadas por blogs de música e sites. Em 13 de Outubro de 2009 eles lançaram Psychic Chasms, o LP inicial. O disco foi considerado pelo Pitchfork um dos melhores de 2009.

First off - Neon Indian's debut record Psychic Chasms is good because it is really falls into a unique category. It is throwback 80's and progressive 00's, all in the same breathe with its synths, beats and somewhat fuzzed in and out vocals. Neon Indian makes sure that every track found on Psychic Chasms has a purpose - be it the 47 second elevator instrumental "(If I Knew, I'd Tell You)" to the hard funk anthem beats in "Ephemeral Artery" or the multitude of catchy pop within "Terminally Chill", the record just ebbs and flows and never lets you down. With such an undertone of sounds going on, it really does take repeat listens to Psychic Chasms to fully realize its excellence. Neon Indian may or may not have a future impact on music but for 2009, this debut record will offer up something that you may not find as easy in other places, which is a pure creativity!
